Additive Manufacturing With Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel is an ideal material for many Stainless Steel Additive Manufacturing industries, including medical, oil and gas.
Eplus3D's stainless steel powders include 316L/1.4404 and17-4PH/1.4542. These 3D Printing Stainless Steel Additive Manufacturing powders have been tested for use on Eplus3D's metal 3D printers. Eplus3D also offers a wide range of validated processes for each of the above materials to ensure that the performance of the 3D printed parts is fully met.


Eplus3D Stainless Steel 316L/1.4404

Parts printed using Eplus3D StainlessSteel 316L/1.4404 show a high level of corrosion resistance, toughness and ductility as well as a high resistance to acids.

Density: 7.9 g/cm³
Tensile Strength: XY: 650 ± 50 MPa; Z: 610 ± 50 MPa
Yield strength: XY: 550 ± 50 MPa; Z: 490 ± 50 MPa
Elongation @ Break: XY: 58 ± 10 %; Z: 65 ± 10 %
Hardness: 96 ± 3 HRB

Eplus3D Stainless Steel 17-4PH/1.4542

Parts printed with Eplus3D Stainless Steel 17-4PH / 1.4542, combined with the HiPro process, enable high-volume production that has the potential to replace press-and-sinter manufacturing in the automotive industry.

Density: 7.8 g/cm³
Tensile Strength: 1060 ± 20 MPa; Z: 1060 ± 20 MPa
Yield Strength: XY: 550 ± 20 Mpa; Z: 510 ± 20 Mpa
Elongation @ Break: 23 ± 2 %
Hardness: 35 ± 3 HRC
